Kalamos: A combination of mountain and sea

The Pagasitikos Gulf gives and keeps many promises. Heading south along the coastal road, one takes a turning which follows a winding hilltop lane. Eventually one rounds the final corner and the staggeringly beautiful Kalamos comes into view. It is said to be one of the most enchanting resorts.

 

Kalamos is a small village by the sea, 6 kilometers from Argalasti and 46 km from Volos. It is a sleepy village that stretches along two bays, the first a long ribbon of pebbled beach, the second more of a natural harbour. The water is marvelously clear and inviting and one cannot help but spend endless hours in it.
